Unfortunately the event taking place from 31st May - 2nd June has been cancelled, so that weekend is now available!
We're keen to welcome both local people and those from outwith the local area, who want to run courses, workshops and retreats for small groups, or conferences/gatherings for larger groups. We think the Big Shed is particularly well suited to groups interested in sustainable farming, growing and of course eating. Tombreck Farm is part of Scotland's Permaculture Learning & Demonstration network and has actively participated in events relating to this subject in the past.
The tranquil environment and outdoor space also make it a very popular choice for retreats, yoga workshops and other groups focused on well-being, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
The Big Shed would also suit rural craft workshops and courses.
Main Hall
An open 65 m2 (9.25 x 6.5m) space that seats 60 comfortably for a sit-down meal or conference
The kitchenette social/space has a large table and makes a good or break-out area or dining room for small groups.
Commercial kitchen
The kitchen is well-equipped for large-group catering, either by the group or a commercial chef.
Live/Work Studio
The creative studio can be used as a quiet space for massage or other treatments and as sleeping accommodation for course or retreat leaders.
Lawn
The grassy area right outside the Big Shed is perfect for a marquee, camping, or outdoor craft activities. Note that if your group is larger than 60 people, you will need a marquee and may also need to hire portaloos.
